A Taste of Poetry

Still

I still look for you, in the night.
I recover your memories, one by one,
And keep them sheltered
From the passing of time.
I collect each feeling that we found
Wandering curious under the starry sky.

Let me close my eyes on your pillow
And be there for a while,
Let us surrender for a minute,
Sail in the blues of your eyes,
I’ll place my lips on your shoreline
Like waves caressing the sand.

I still look for you, in the night.
Unprepared and eager,
Like the very first time.
I can’t explain the reason, but I still feel drawn
To navigate your ocean,
To get lost in your arms.

Let me hide my dreams on your pillow
And be there for a while,
Let us forget for a minute
That the time has passed,
That the distance has left us
With invisible marks.

I still look for you, in the night,
And draw angels on your skin, every time.
